Harris offers two different GPS preschool programs located on our campus. Harris has Advantage Preschool for children 3-5 years old, and Building Blocks Preschool for children 3 & 4 years old.

We offer Pom Squad, Student Council, Run Club, and Young Rembrandts. Exclusively for 5th & 6th graders we offer Battle of the Books.

Starting this school year Harris is delighted to be able to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students within our school.

Gilbert Public Schools (GPS), in partnership with the Gilbert Education Foundation (GEF), invites everyone to a morning of health and fun at Campo Verde High School on Saturday, February 22, 2025. The activities kick off with the Run for Fun at 7:30 am followed by the Healthy Connections Expo 9 am - 12 pm, offering a variety of fun activities and resources for families in Gilbert and Mesa.

This year’s Spelling Bee was electrifying! Elementary and junior high students from schools across the district wowed the audience at Campo Verde High last Thursday, January 23rd for the Annual District Spelling Bee.

On January 14, 2025, GPS will welcome all employees who have worked in the district for 25 years to a celebratory breakfast hosted by Superintendent Dr. Shane McCord. These individuals, spanning diverse roles within the district, exemplify the heart and soul of GPS. These are just some of their incredible stories.

Harris Elementary 3rd grade student, Antonella Parra Gonzalez, was selected as one of four Success Story Award recipients in the state for her hard work, dedication to English language acquisition, and commitment to helping those around her.

Many GPS elementary schools hosted Turkey Trots this year, including Sonoma Ranch Elementary School which hosted its third annual event to bring students and parents together for a day of fun and fitness. These events encouraged physical activity and provided a glimpse into the district's growing running programs.
