Absent & Tardy Reporting

In case of an absence or tardy, you must notify our office in advance or on the morning of the absence. If we have not heard from you, we will contact you. To report an absence, please call the school office:  480-545-7060. Press Option #1.

The GPS district Attendance Policy is found on page 10 of the GPS Elementary Student Handbook.

Early Departure

A student will not be considered absent if the student is present at least three-quarters of the school day. However, if the student is absent up to one-quarter of the school day, the student will be considered tardy or an early departure.
