Jenn Laserna, Dean of Students

Jenn Laserna, Dean of Students

This is my twenty-first year in education and my ninth year with Gilbert Public Schools. I started my teaching career in Maryland, as a special educator, later I moved into the classroom as a general educator, teaching first grade, third grade, and fourth grade. Then I was a math specialist for four years, working with students from kindergarten through sixth grade with math. I was the principal of the Spring Intersession at Harris as well.  I started as Dean of Students at Harris in the 2022/23 school year.

I am excited to be a Hawk and be part of this fantastic community here at Harris. We are excited to offer a free breakfast and free lunch for every student on our campus. We strive to do "Whatever It Takes" in order for every child to be successful here at Harris.

As an educator, I believe that we must work together to support the emotional, social, and academic well-being of each child. Parental and community involvement is key when it comes to engaging our students in the learning process and supporting them in becoming productive, caring citizens. As part of the Harris team, I will continue to work alongside Mr. Roth and this staff to always do what is best for students.
