Harris Elementary celebrated P.B.I.S Day on Friday, October 2nd, with an inclusive school-wide celebration focused on recognizing and celebrating positive behaviors, responsibility, respect, and safety.

P.B.I.S. is an evidence-based framework schools use to improve student academic and behavioral outcomes by fostering a positive, safe, and proactive school culture. It emphasizes teaching, modeling, and reinforcing expected behaviors rather than focusing solely on punishing misconduct. Students received shout-outs, prizes, and other rewards for their dedication and commitment to making positive choices.

Students enjoyed fun and engaging activities within their classrooms, giving them an opportunity to celebrate with their classmates, build positive connections, and create memorable moments together before heading into Fall Break.

Harris families were also invited to join their students and enjoy the fun as the school community comes together to celebrate our Hawks. Family participation helps make this celebration even more special and gives everyone an opportunity to share in the excitement.

P.B.I.S Day is celebrated each quarter as an opportunity to recognize our students, celebrate their positive behaviors, and strengthen our school community. This celebration will be a fun way to wrap up the first quarter and celebrate our Hawks!

Overall, students celebrated their hard work and positive choices this quarter alongside teachers, parents, guardians, and friends, enjoying a day filled with joy and accomplishment.
