Battle of the Books Competition - Battle 3

On Wednesday, March 25, Harris Elementary School held its third and final Battle of the Books competition for the school year in the Library.
Seven teams, each comprised of three students from the 5th and 6th grades, participated after reading four specific books over the last quarter. Teams were encouraged to ensure that every member read all four books, allowing for engaging discussions before answering the questions.
The competition consisted of two exciting Phases. In Phase 1, each team answered one question requiring them to identify the Book Title and Author for five rounds. Phase 2 featured three additional rounds, each focusing on details from a specific book.
Nerves ran high; however, teams demonstrated exceptional collaboration and teamwork as they tackled the questions in each round. The 4th and 5th grade classes showed great support as respectful audience members throughout the event. A huge thank you to the parents who joined us in supporting their students during the competition.
Congratulations to the top three teams for the first Battle of the Books!

2nd Place: Team 3 - Vivian, Annabelle, and Cyris
