Itinerant Autism Resource Teacher

Itinerant Autism Resource is an additional layer of specialized social/behavioral supports provided to students with autism eligibility who receive instruction in the general education and/or resource classrooms at their home school.  These students receive weekly pullout social skills instruction and may also participate in structured social activities with typical peers. I-ART teachers also assist with the development and implementation of interventions to support executive-functioning skills such as organization, classroom independence, and emotional regulation, within the general education classroom.

About Me

I was born and raised in Gilbert, AZ.  I attend Gilbert Public Schools all the way up to high school.  I went to Northern Arizona University for my Special Education/Elementary teaching degree.  I have taught in the Gilbert Public School for 12 years within several different special education programs.  I have enjoyed every minute of them.
I am a wife and a mom of two wonderful children. My son is in the 4th grade and my daughter is in 3rd grade. They keep me busy with hockey, art class, volleyball, and dance.  I enjoy our Saturday sports, as we cheer on their teams.  During my free time, I like to do crafts.
